Godalming Town Show and Carnival

When? 18th September, 12:00 – 17:00

Where? The Burys, GU7 1HR

Price? Free

Attracting over 4000 each year, this long-established event is fun for all the family. And in 2021, they’re going sci-fi with the parade, live music, entertainment, food stalls and beer tents all falling under this theme. 

Whilst the event is free to enter, all profits from the day will support local charities. So, not only will you have a fun day out with all the family, but you’ll also be benefiting the community. For sci-fi fans, this is definitely a must-visit this Autumn!

Mono-Printing Workshop & Woodland Lunch

When? 24th September, 10:00 – 13:30

Where? The Salt Box, RH1 4EJ

Price? £75

Join the Salt Box team beneath the trees for a nature-inspired art workshop, followed by a delicious seasonally-inspired two-course feast, cooked over an open fire. You’ll come away with stunning mono-prints of leaves, feathers and whatever else you can find on the forest floor – taking a little piece of our beautiful countryside home with you. 

After a morning of artistic experimentation, warm yourself by the open fire as you await the locally sourced lunch provided by the team. If this doesn’t sound like the perfect start to Autumn! The Surrey Hills Challenge

The Surrey Hills Challenge is one of the biggest sporting events in Surrey – it’s certainly a major challenge for all the family to get involved in! The challenge is comprised of a series of running and walking events covering the beautiful Surrey Hills landscape. 

There are a number of different distances for participants to choose between, from the ‘ultra’ 60km to the ‘five’ or even ‘one’ challenges. You can find a distance to suit all family members and, whether you walk or run it’s a great event to be a part of. Plus, with each challenge finishing at the Denbies vineyard, you’ll be able to enjoy the remainder of the day in a stunning location – perhaps with a glass of wine!

Rat Pack Refreshed Show: Re-Opening Night

As the Bourne Club reopens, they’ll be hosting a fantastic celebration of songs by Frank Sinatra and his contemporaries – served up with wit and charm for an unforgettable evening. Performed by Steve Pert and the Simply Swing Band, you’ll be dancing along to your favourites, including Fly Me To The Moon, New York New York and The Lady Is A Tramp to name just a few. 

Renowned throughout the country for his silky swinging style, you’ll be transported back in time. As the night’s draw in, don your finest outfit and join the re-opening of this fabulous venue to kickstart your October. 

An Evening Out With Andy Hamilton

Following a year of cancelled shows, zoom quizzes and nose-swabs, award-winning writer and comedian Andy Hamilton is delighted to be getting out of the house. Expect a hilarious and illuminating night out of entertainment as he ventures onto the Surrey stage. 

Events in Surrey don’t get much better than this – we certainly all deserve a laugh after a turbulent year! You’ll have the opportunity to ask Andy questions on any topic as he takes a look back at his extensive comedy career. This is sure to be an evening unlike any other, revealing to say the least.

7 tales, 4 actors, 1 life-affirming journey. This Autumn, the award-winning Guildford Shakespeare Company invite you to join them on a musical journey of discovery full of light and laughter. Sharing some of the best-loved tales of all time, the 200-year-old tales by Hans Christian Andersen have become some of the most-treasured stories for little ones. 

The cast will be weaving together and retelling four famous tales: The Ugly Duckling, The Emperor’s New Groove, Thumbelina and The Princess and the Pea, as well as introducing you to a few rarer stories: The Darning Needle and The Puppet Showman. Sure to be an enchanting experience as these classic fairytales are bought colourfully to life, it’s a great choice from the events in Surrey for all ages to enjoy.
