Terms and Conditions – Seymours Estate Agents Holiday Giveaway

By participating in the Seymours Estate Agents Holiday Giveaway (the "Competition"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions:

1. Organiser

The Competition is organised by Seymours Licences Limited (SLL), registered at Ashbourne House, Guildford, Surrey, GU3 1LR, registered number 06330777,  acting on behalf of Seymours Estate Agents, Seymours Lettings and Management, Seymours Prestige Homes, Seymours Land & New Homes. (“Seymours”, “We”, or “Us”).

2. Competition Period

2.1 The Competition opens at Midnight on 1st January 2025 and closes at Midnight on 15th November 2025 - the ("Competition Period").


2.2 Entries received outside of the Competition Period will not be considered.

3. Eligibility

3.1 The Competition is open to individuals aged 18 years or over who instruct Us to sell or let their property during the Competition Period.
3.2 Participants must be the legal owner(s) of the property listed for sale or rent with Us. For the purposes of this Competition, a "legal owner" is defined as:

  • An individual who is the sole registered proprietor of the property; or
  • Individuals who are joint registered proprietors of the property.
    Proof of ownership may be requested at any time to verify eligibility.

3.3 Employees of Seymours, their immediate family members, and agents connected to the Competition are not eligible to participate.

4. How to Enter

4.1 To participate in the Competition, participants must:

  • Instruct Us to list their property for sale or rent during the Competition Period, either under a sole agency agreement or as part of a multiple agency agreement.
  • Ensure the property remains actively marketed with Us (for sale or rent) for the duration of the Competition Period.

4.2     Properties listed with Us that successfully progress to either:

  • Exchange of contracts (in the case of a property sale), or the signing of a tenancy agreement and the introduction of a tenant (in the case of a rental property), will remain eligible for the Competition even if the property is subsequently withdrawn from the market due to the completion of the transaction.

4.3 Participants are eligible for one entry per individual property listed for sale or rent during the Competition Period.

4.4 Participants must ensure that all terms of their agreement with Us have been fulfilled and that no outstanding payments or obligations exist. Failure to meet these requirements may result in disqualification from the Competition.

4.5 Participants can earn additional entries through referrals under the following conditions:

  • The referrer must provide the referee’s full name and property address at the time of the referral.
  • The referee must sign an agency agreement with Us and list their property for sale or rent during the Competition Period.
  • The referred property must remain listed and actively marketed with Us for the duration of the Competition Period.

4.6 Referrals made before or after the Competition Period or without sufficient identifying information will not be eligible for additional entries.

5. Disqualified from the Competition:

Participants who take any of the following actions.

  • Dis-instructing Us as the estate or letting agent during the Competition Period.
  • Temporarily withdrawing the property from the market or significantly changing the terms of the listing (e.g., changing from sale to rent or vice versa) without prior written consent from Us.
  • Terminating an agency agreement with Us to enter into a new agency agreement or multiple agency agreement with another agent during the Competition Period.
  • Participants who do not consent to having their details used in marketing materials must notify Seymours at the time of entry. By entering the Competition, participants acknowledge that consent to marketing is a mandatory condition of entry. Participants who choose not to consent to marketing materials will not be eligible to win any prizes. For avoidance of doubt refer to clause 8.

6. Prizes

6.1 There are 21 prizes in total:

  • 1x £10,000 holiday voucher
  • 20x £500 holiday vouchers

6.2 Winners may use the vouchers towards holiday bookings of their choice, subject to the terms and conditions of the issuing provider.
6.3 Prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and no cash alternative will be offered.

7. Selection of Winners

7.1 Winners will be chosen at random from all valid entries received during the Competition Period using an independent selection tool - https://wheelofnames.com
7.2 The draw will take place within 14 days of the Competition closing.
7.3 Winners will be notified by email or telephone within 7 days of the draw.
7.4 If a winner cannot be contacted, fails to respond within 14 days of notification, or is found to have breached the Terms and Conditions, they will forfeit their prize, and a redraw will take place.
7.5 Redraws will follow the same verified random selection process as 6.1
7.6 If multiple redraw attempts are required, a maximum of three (3) redraws will be conducted. If a prize remains unclaimed after three redraws, Seymours reserves the right to either retain the prize or allocate it at their discretion.

8. Publication of Winners & Marketing Consent

8.1 By entering the Competition and instructing Seymours to list their property for sale or rent, participants automatically consent to Seymours using their name, property details, and other relevant information for marketing purposes. This includes, but is not limited to, publication on Seymours' website, newsletters, social media channels, email campaigns, and other marketing materials.                                                                                     

8.2 The names and property details of the winners will be published on Seymours’ website and social media platforms as part of promotional content, and may also be featured in other marketing materials.  

8.3 All participants, whether winners or non-winners, agree that their personal details and property information may be used for marketing, advertising, or public relations purposes by Seymours. This includes promotional posts, case studies, or any other content used for marketing purposes, without further compensation or the need for additional consent. 

8.4 By entering the Competition, participants acknowledge that consent to marketing is a mandatory condition of entry. Participants who choose not to consent to marketing materials will not be eligible to win any prizes.   

8.5 The use of personal data for marketing purposes is subject to the terms outlined in Seymours' Privacy Policy, which can be found on Our website. https://seymours-estates.co.uk/privacy-policy/

9. General Conditions

9.1 Seymours reserves the right to verify the eligibility of participants and the validity of entries.
9.2 If a participant is found to have breached these Terms and Conditions, their entry will be disqualified.
9.3 We accept no responsibility for entries not received due to technical or other issues.

10. GDPR

10.1 For the purposes of the Data Protection Act 2018 and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) EU 2016/79, SLL and each Seymours branch legal entity are designated as Dual Data Controllers. This classification reflects their practice of sharing data with one another, with both entities exercising joint control over the purposes and means of processing personal data.                

10.2 Individual information for each Seymours registered office comprising the registered address, company number and ICO membership number can be found here                                                                                

10.3 By entering the Competition, participants agree to Us using their personal information for the purposes of administering the Competition and using their name, property details, and other relevant information for marketing purposes. This includes but is not limited to, publication on Seymours' website, newsletters, social media channels, email campaigns, and other marketing materials.

11. Limitation of Liability

11.1 Seymours accepts no responsibility for any loss, damage, or injury arising from participation in the Competition or acceptance of any prize, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law.

12. Amendments and Cancellation

12.1 We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions or cancel the Competition if necessary for reasons beyond our control.

13. Governing Law

13.1 These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
13.2 Any disputes arising from the Competition will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
