Activity throughout the local property market is returning to pre pandemic levels, according to our sales team. It follows a steady increase in sales agreed this spring and continued demand for rental property.

In sales, property prices have risen by 1.2% across the South East over the last month and annual asking price growth has eased to around 3.0%. These figures, from Rightmove’s latest house price index, paint a more positive outlook.

Joss, co-owner of our Haslemere office, said: “The local property market is stabilising, with signs of buyer confidence returning. This spring we are experiencing a significant increase in buyer activity, with family homes being most sought after.

“While buyers are taking more time to consider their options and plan ahead, there is certainly a renewed demand for property across Haslemere and Godalming. There’s currently a shortage of family homes on the market, making now the perfect time to sell if you’re considering a move.

“In lettings, rental properties are still being snapped up within a matter of days. Rightmove figures confirm that we have let more properties than any other local agent this year across the GU26, GU27, GU28, GU29 and GU30 postcodes.*

“This level of activity across sales and lettings looks set to continue throughout the spring and into summer. As our property portfolio grows, there will be more opportunities for buyers and tenants to find their ideal home.”
