Addlestone town centre has had a major regeneration with shops, cinema and spectacular new build apartments. There is a mixture of old and new homes with some lovely Victorian properties, which prove hugely popular as well as safe, family friendly developments. There are ample amenities in Addlestone itself but it is also on the doorstep of so many beautiful places in Surrey, within a short walk of Coxes Lock Mill, the River Wey Navigation and Basingstoke Canal for leisure pursuits. There are some breath-taking local walks at, Victory Park, Sayes Court, RHS Wisley Gardens and the Surrey Hills.
Other places of interest are Crouch Oak, which is said to be over 1,000 years old, Brooklands Aviation Park and that little bit of luxury available at Foxhills Golf and Country Club. Virginia Water lake, Savill Gardens and Thorpe Lakes Watersports are also within easy reach by car.
Addlestone and its surrounding villages and towns of Chertsey, New Haw, and Weybridge offer a wide range of outstanding schools in the area. St Paul’s C of E Primary School, Stepgates Primary School, New Haw Community Junior School and Ongar Place Junior School are all outstanding choices and the excellent and highly reputed Salesian School in Chertsey provides local children with a solid education. By road, Addlestone provides easy access to the London and National road networks with a short drive to the M25 with routes out of the area and the key airports of Heathrow and Gatwick. The A3 at Junction 10 of the M25 travels north towards central London and south to Guildford, Godalming and Portsmouth.
By train, there are usually three per hour to London, with the fastest being just over 50 minutes. Routes from Addlestone go to many local destinations including Chertsey, Virginia Water, Staines-upon-Thames and Feltham for onward travel to Heathrow.
