We are so grateful to have been supported by expert, friendly, and positive team at Seymours, whilst moving on from our first home. All of the team demonstrate such high standards of integrity and professionalism, and all with a genuine smile. In the context of some inevitable house moving stress, the team at Seymours felt like the safest pair of hands throughout. A special thanks to David and Emma, for all of the above.

Bought our first home through Seymours Dorking – our main contact was David. He was first class, very helpful, guided us through the full process of what we needed to do and answered all the questions I had, however silly! When anything needed chasing through the solicitors, he was on the case resulting in a very quick exchange. (Saw the house on 30 April, moved in on 19 July). When we picked up the keys there was a bottle of fizz for us as well! Lovely touch. He also recommended local Solicitors and Building Surveyors which both provided great service as well.

I’ve been really pleased with the service from Seymours and would highly recommend them, in particular David and Emma. They have been honest, helpful, friendly and kept in regular contact with me throughout the sale process. Thank you!

David and his team dealt with sale of my house which had been in my family for 60 plus years in a professional transparent and personable manner. I would have no hesitation in recommending Seymours to family and friends and other people I know and meet. Thanks again David. Ralph

On our first meeting with Robbie we knew we could trust him to deliver what he said. He listened to our requests and took them on board and gave us advice or helpful suggestions to come to our decisions regarding the sale of the property. Seymours kept us informed and updated us regularly on the progress of the sale to its conclusion. Thank you Robbie, David and all the team for working hard to deliver the sale.

I have just completed on an investment purchase this week in Dorking and David and Jamie have been fantastic all through the process! The transaction was a straight forward change in ownership and we wanted the tenants to keep their home. Jamie always went above and beyond to help with everything! David and Jamie responded to emails very quickly and were always willing to help/answer any questions. I highly recommend using them as they made the transaction so much more pleasant as a consequence of their professionalism.

Is Dorking a good commuter town to London?

Dorking is a sought-after area for its proximity to London and has superb transport links, with three train stations: Dorking West station, Dorking mainline and Deepdene.

Dorking provides commuters with fast transportation into London in approximately an hour, with the quickest journey into London Waterloo during peak times taking 51 minutes. As most of the trains originate at Dorking Main Station, you are usually guaranteed to get a seat.

Dorking station to Leatherhead (7 mins), Epsom (13-16 mins), Horsham (22 mins), London Victoria (1 hour) and Waterloo (5156 mins); Dorking West or Deepdene stations to Guildford (16-25 mins) and Gatwick airport (2428 mins). Driving: 10 or 15 mins to the M25 if the traffic’s kind, 30 mins to Gatwick and Guildford.

The M25 is accessed seven miles north equidistant via the A24 to Leatherhead Junction 9 or the A25 to Reigate Junction 8 offering direct access to Gatwick and Heathrow Airports.

      Does Dorking have good schools?

Dorking and the surrounding areas have a number of outstanding school options.

The town benefits from a very good choice of schools including The Ashcombe and The Priory at secondary level and St Pauls and St Martins at primary level.

With the number of outstanding schools available, you are guaranteed to secure an excellent education for your children.

I’m considering a move to Dorking, what is it like to live in?

Dorking proves incredibly popular for a number of reasons. Commuting outside of the area is extremely accessible and the town has a selection of supermarkets, a number of fine takeaways, a wine shop, butchers as well as many other options, including Michelin star restaurant, Sorrel.

The local area is truly blessed with the Surrey Hills, with various National Trust Sites including Leith Hill and Box Hill, as well as the outstanding Denbies Vineyard.

One of the beauties of Dorking is that, whatever you cannot find on your doorstep is available within a very short drive – what more could you ask for?
