Guildford provides the perfect balance between rural and city life! You have excellent communications with two rail options and routes into London just over 40 minutes. By road, you can hop onto the A3, just a short drive away taking you to London or Portsmouth – in either direction and to the M25 and all routes onward.
On the doorstep is a countryside that takes your breath away from Newlands Corner, Merrow Downs, St Marth’s Hill. There are so many walks you will be spoilt for choice and whether that is a meandering stroll through the villages of Shalford and Bramley, long routes along the River Wey to Godalming or a sedate walk around Guildford Castle or the cobbled streets of the town centre, there is something for everyone.
For leisure, other than the ample independent and boutique shops in the town centre, you have the Yvonne Arnaud theatre, superb, diverse restaurants, cinemas and numerous outdoor pursuits on offer – once again, spoilt for choice.
The accommodation is hugely varied from the town centre cottages, exquisite new builds, Victorian conversions and the sprawling mansions in Pewley Hill, there really is something for everyone.

Professional approach to a probate sale. A few hitches along a long and bumpy road but well navigated by Charity and her sales team and then by Clive on the exchange and completion.

Selling my mother’s home that she loved and lived in until going into care was always going to be tricky. I decided that I needed the support of people I could trust and work with at the outset now it was time to sell and pay for her care. Simon completely understands the Guildford market and updated me continually .A buyer was found and the support team at Seymour’s did everything to make things happen. keeping me informed as the sale progressed. It’s been an easy pleasure to have Seymour’s handle the sale. One of my best decisions was to appoint them

Guildford is a fantastic commuter town with two railway station giving access to London. London Road station and Guildford mainline station are centrally located and provide a regular commute to London Waterloo in approximately 37 minutes. The A3 and M25 can be easily reached and provide rapid links to the south coast, London and the international airports. Whilst Guildford might be the obvious choice for a commute, Worplesdon is also highly recommended by the locals as it is easier to get to, has quicker trains to London (just over 30 minutes) and better parking options.
Anyone who knows Guildford should already know it is well served by a wide of excellent mainstream and private schools. Many of the local schools have been rated outstanding reassuring local families that their children’s education needs are well catered for. The primary options include Pewley Down Infant school in Semaphore Road, Shalford Infant school and Chilworth, Merrow and Burpham each have outstanding primary schools. The secondary options are equally impressive with George Abbott, Guildford County and the private schools of Tormead, Guildford High School and the Royal Grammar School.
